Truthful declaration of import and export wooden packaging

Wood packaging refers to the wooden materials used for carrying, packaging, foiling, supporting and reinforcing goods, such as wooden boxes, wooden strip boxes, wooden pallets, wooden frames, barrels, wooden axles, wooden wedges, cushions, sleepers, linings, etc. In order to regulate the quarantine supervision and management of wood packaging, China implements the World Standards for the Processing of Wood Packaging in World Trade stipulated by the arrangement of the World Plant Protection Convention, and IPPC labels must be added to wood packaging.

The Customs shall supervise and handle the inspection and Quarantine of wooden packaging. In accordance with relevant rules, import and export enterprises shall be subject to administrative penalties for failing to submit quarantine reports to the Customs in accordance with the rules and for discrepancies between the quarantine reports and the actual situation.

Customs reminds us that one column of the customs declaration form is the packing variety. It is illegal for enterprises or customs declaration companies to omit the packing options or the packing conditions that are not in conformity with the actual packing when declaring the customs declaration form.

The use of unsatisfactory wood packaging may lead to the spread, dispersion and colonization of pests in world transportation. Enterprises should grasp the rules of "Processing Wood Packaging Information in World Trade", "Processing Measures for Supervision and Quarantine of Wood Packaging for Inbound Goods", "Processing Measures for Quarantine of Wood Packaging for Outbound Goods". They should know the scope of Wood Packaging and understand the IPPC logo style. In addition, export enterprises should attach great importance to importing the relevant rules of wood packaging from countries or regions. If there is a requirement for certificates, relevant quarantine certificates shall be issued in accordance with the requirements.

The customs recommendation involves exporting enterprises that use wooden packaging, and must conscientiously carry out the work of harmful removal of wooden packaging. Wood packaging treatment costs are low, so we must not encounter high risk and loss of return in order to save a little cost of fumigation.
